The Square of the Stream is a level found in Mazaera, the second hub of Hexen II.
It is a large complex featuring several types of areas, such as temples, tunnels, an outdoor area, and a network of monster-infested tunnels that connect them. The smaller temple contains a prized artifact that can be used as a sacrifice at the larger temple in exchange for a mystic skull.
This map houses the Test of Water - an underwater maze that threatens the player with drowning and deadly Hydras.
Objectives[]
The player's first task is to pass the Test of Water and gain the element itself. The second objective is to offer a sacrifice at the temple and gain one of the skulls necessary to unlock the sealed-off area at the Obelisk of the Moon.
