The Serpent Staff is a weapon used by Parias in Hexen.
Overview[]
This weapon is the first to be found by the Cleric, and should be found as soon as possible to succeed the otherwise useless Mace. The staff can be used as a melee weapon, but can also fire two projectiles to inflict ranged damage. If used as a melee weapon, the staff will drain 2 hit points from the enemy, giving them to the player (up to their maximum).
On a higher difficulty, it can be first found in the Guardian of Steel. To get it, player must pull the southern bullhead switch in the starting corridor, then continue down the elevator in the center room and down the left path, which was unblocked by the switch. There he should find the staff.
