Pestilence is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, general of Eidolon, and the third boss encountered in Hexen II. Interestingly enough, Pestilence rides a hog instead of a horse.

Following the defeat of the first two Serpent Riders, D'Sparil and Korax, Eidolon the third and last of the Serpent Riders gathered together the remnants of their forces and added them to his own. He corrupted the Priests who guarded the seal that prevented the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from entering the world and released them to serve as his generals, giving each dominion over one of the four nations of Thyrion.

Attacks & Strategy

Pestilence is tougher than the previous horsemen. He shoots homing poisonous arrows and will throw poisonous bombs at the player. Once his health is depleted, his attacks will become faster. He will discharge arrows more frequently and may even use its hog to try and ram the player's character. Use Icon of the Defender, Stone of Summoning and Tome of Power. Once he is killed, the player shall teleport to Septimus.
