Torpol's Morph Ovum is a support artifact found in Heretic and Heretic II.
Overview[]
Across both games, the Ovum is an inventory item and can be triggered at will. When used, magical eggs blast in all directions from the player, and creatures in its path is morphed in to a chicken. The effect lasts for 40 seconds.
In Heretic, the Morph Ovum does not work on Iron Liches, Maulotaurs, D'Sparil, or his Chaos Serpent. In multiplayer games, a player who becomes victim to the Ovum can reverse the effects instantly by using a Tome of Power.

- Heretic II uses this item as well, but in the form of a spell.
- There is an unused item in Hexen that appears to be a knock-off of this one.
- This item is the equivalent of Hexen's Porkelator and Hexen II's Seal of the Ovinomancer (turning the target into a Pig and Sheep, respectively).
