The true heart of evil beats within the darkest recesses of Blackmarsh

Return to Blackmarsh is the fifth and final hub of Hexen II.


The hub brings the player back to the continent of Blackmarsh, this time much closer to Eidolon's lair. This is the hardest hub in the game, especially in terms of monster fights. Most of the maps are fairly complex and require a lot of exploration and backtracking.

The main task is to gain access to Eidolon's Ordeal, a series of challenges that have to be overcome before the player can gain access to the oldest Serpent Rider's lair for the final battle.
