The Castle of Grief is the fourth hub of Hexen.
Overview[]
The hub consists of a large castle that can be thoroughly explored, from the grand hallways and libraries in the upper floors, to the sewers and dungeons below. This hub also features a small outpost in an unspecified location. The player's first task is to gain access to the castle itself by repairing a large clock. Once inside, players will face several smaller puzzles in order to obtain the Axe Key, which opens the throne room.
Within the throne room itself, the player has to defeat several waves of monsters and a second iteration of the Heresiarch.
