The Gardens of Athena is the second map of Hub 4: Septimus of Hexen II. It is a large complex featuring courtyards, gardens, fountains and several small temples. The altar of Athena can be found in the deepest reaches of the map.
A portion of this map is not initially accessible as the door to it is locked from the inside. Players will need to find an alternate route through another level.

Players will have to solve several puzzles in order to obtain a Gold Bar, which would be necessary elsewhere as an item to donate.
