A Flame Orb is an ammunition artifact found in Heretic.

Picking up one of these artifacts will award the player with 1 ammo for their Phoenix Rod.
Ophidians also drop orbs upon their death, but they provide the player with 5 ammo (7 on the easiest or hardest skill levels). Maulotaurs will also occasionally drop orbs, with theirs being worth 10 shots (15 on the easiest or hardest skill levels, and both cases being of the same value as an Inferno Orb).
