The Ancient Temple of Nefertum or Egypt2 is the fifth map of Hub 3: Thysis of Hexen II. This is the same temple, one millennium earlier, and unlike its modern counterpart it is in pristine condition. The temple's full beauty can now be seen and admired, along with the rest of its rooms, which are otherwise blocked in the present.

The temple contains several devious puzzles, which could be fatal for the unprepared.

Objectives

Now that all areas of the temple are accessible, players can find another Canopic Jar and a suitable gem that can be used at the Pyramid of Anubis.

More importantly, gaining access to a second Wheel of Ages will allow players to fulfill the requirement of setting the wheel to two different positions at the same time (one in the past and one in the present).

Walkthrough

In order to acquire the Imsethy Canopic Jar, the player has to step on three tiles in a certain order, but there are nine tiles in total. We can summarize them thus:

There is a texture in the Shrine of Naos that hints at three possible answers:

The correct combination varies by playthrough. When entering a combination, make sure to step onto the last tile slowly; do not overstep it. A very common mistake is to rush over the tile, teleporting the player outside before their weight has time to press it down, making the puzzle seem far more aleatory than it truly is. Do not overstep the final tile until the correct message appears. Two combinations will generate the message “Nothing seemed to happen” and teleport you outside; the correct one will say “Sequence completed!” and eliminate the invisible barrier to the Canopic Jar.
